Where have we been!
Skateboarding, thats where. Now that spring has sprung its time to get back out there and finish this skatepark. There have been a lot of things happening, Last night April 14th 2009 the city council approved the sale of the Lewiston skatepark with a minimum bid of $80,000 now sealed bids can be turned into the parks department and we can use the money to build a new park. Look for a conctruction date of around spring of 2010.
“CARVE” ART SHOW
The opening reception of our art show, “CARVE,” is THIS Friday night at 5:00pm - 8:00pm. Come down and check out the skate decks and have some fun. The Center for Arts and History is located across from Quin’s on Main Street in Lewiston. They have been so great and have donated so much time into getting this thing going and we want to thank them for everything!!

Hot August Nights Skate Comp
Saturday, August 23rd, is the Hot August Nights Skate Competition. Registration begins at 11:00AM with the Beginners division starting at noon. Registration is $5 and there will be 3 divisions: Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Prizes will be given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each division. Come and sign up! Registration costs next to nothing and there are AWESOME prizes to win.
For all of you non-skaters who want to have fun on Saturday, come down and hang out! There will be Pepsi products for sale (bottles of soda and water for $1), food, live music, tons of people, and prizes. Enter a raffle to win a skateboard given by the Center for Arts and History and a 50-50 raffle, too. It will be a lot of fun and we’re hoping we get a ton of people down there Saturday night!
